The Holt Rams will be playing at home against the Mason Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Holt has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Mason will arrive with four straight victories.
Holt suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Monday. They were beaten by East Lansing 73-41. Holt was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-18.
Meanwhile, Mason earned a 66-54 win over Williamston on Friday. Given Mason's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while Williamston is ranked 222nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Holt's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Mason, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.
Holt skirted past Mason 63-61 in their previous matchup back in March of 2023. Will Holt repeat their success, or does Mason have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
