The Christoval Cougars won the last time they faced the Winters Blizzards, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Christoval blew past Winters 67-43. Given Christoval's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while Winters is ranked 716th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Christoval to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ethan Busch, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Busch has scored at least 25% of Christoval's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bruce Cooper, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Christoval's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Winters, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Christoval will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sweetwater at 6:20 p.m. on December 12th. Winters' road trip will continue as they head out to face Valley at 11:40 a.m. on December 1st.
