The New Berlin Eisenhower Lions pushed their score all the way to 67 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 78-67 to Lake Country Lutheran.
Lake Country Lutheran's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carter Leibham, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Leibham pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Hans, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds.
New Berlin Eisenhower has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. As for Lake Country Lutheran, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
New Berlin Eisenhower will head out on the road to face off against Wisconsin Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wisconsin Lutheran knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 contests -- so hopefully New Berlin Eisenhower likes a good challenge. As for Lake Country Lutheran, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Edgewood at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Edgewood is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
