The Northwest Vikings's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They skirted past Ohio County 44-41.
Northwest was led to victory by Kendall Myree and Z'riyah Reed. Myree scored 12 points along with six rebounds, while Reed scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for her.
Northwest's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Ohio County, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Northwest is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Rossview at 6:00 p.m. on January 3rd. Rossview will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Ohio County and Logan County will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Logan County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Ohio County in Kentucky (Logan County is ranked 88th, while Ohio County is ranked 209th).
