Ellington is a perfect 10-0 against East Windsor since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Knights will challenge the Panthers at 3:45 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Ellington and East Granby, and Ellington kept the tradition alive. The Knights blew past the Crusaders 24-6 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won six matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.
Tyler Dumond was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Dumond was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, Dylan Killoran was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with five runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those five runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxson Dumond, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with five runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI.
Ellington always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .705. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Windsor). Everything went their way against Academy of Aerospace and Engineering on Wednesday as they made off with a 22-1 win. With that victory, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 7.3 runs per game.
AJ Paradis made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
In other batting news, East Windsor let Manny Lopez and Elias Jacobs run wild. Lopez got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Jacobs got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Tim Mehan also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Ellington pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for East Windsor, their record is now 4-6.
East Windsor's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Ellington hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .339. It's a different story for East Windsor, though, as they've only averaged .226. Will they be able to contain Ellington's hitters?
Everything went Ellington's way against East Windsor in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, as Ellington made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
