The Chico Dragons will face off against the Muenster Hornets at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Chico is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
While Chico's win against Era wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Dragons had just enough and edged out the Hornets 2-1 on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Dragons as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Addyson Sides spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up 17 Ks. Those 17 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
At the plate, Chico's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jatelynd Gregg, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Gregg hit this season.
Meanwhile, Muenster came tearing into Tuesday's match with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Indians as they made off with a 16-1 victory. Considering the Hornets have won 14 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Skyler Reed was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Muenster got a big performance out of Jasmine Hacker, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Lilly Johnson was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Muenster always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nocona only posted an OBP of .167.
Muenster pushed their record up to 15-7-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Chico, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Chico has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Muenster struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
