The Purchase Line Red Dragons will venture away from home to  take on the Portage Mustangs  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Purchase Line hasn't scored more than 12 points for three games straight, a trend the  squad is eager to reverse.

 Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Portage's offense. They were dealt  a  31-0 loss at the hands of United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United] on Friday. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United] recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
 Purchase Line's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Portage, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-6.
Friday's   game might be decided on the ground. Purchase Line has been excellent on the ground this season,  having  averaged 165.2  rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Portage struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 161.2  rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's   contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
