The biggest upset of the week belonged to Western Beaver, who took down 342nd ranked Shenango, 34-28.
The Golden Beavers moved up to 394 from 452 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in WPIAL A Big Seven. Western Beaver climbed the ranks as a result of defeating the Wildcats 34-28.
6-foot-0 quarterback Joe Salmen of Union Area is the league leader in passing yards this season with 519. He has also thrown six touchdowns. On the ground, South Side's Cameron McCoy has rushed for 701 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Nick Miller. The Western Beaver star has 10 catches for 335 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Rochester takes on second place Sto-Rox. Last week, Rochester topped Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, while Sto-Rox beat Laurel.
The Rams extended the longest winning streak in WPIAL A Big Seven this week by beating the Chargers, 41-0. The win marks eighth in a row for the Rochester.
