Benton won the last time they faced Maryville and things went their way on Thursday too. The Cardinals put the hurt on the Spoofhounds with a sharp 10-4 win. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

Benton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-12 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Maryville, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-15.

Benton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-3 win against Kirksville on the 2nd. As for Maryville, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Chillicothe at 4:30 p.m.
