The Pearce Mustangs will venture away from home to take on the Rockwall-Heath Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Pearce's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 23-0 margin over Lake Highlands. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Lexie Landers and Saylor Jackson made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Landers tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Jackson tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Landers has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. At the plate, Landers went 4-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles, while Jackson went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. The dominant performance also gave Jackson a new career-high in RBI (five).
In other batting news, Molly Simmons was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, six RBI, and two stolen bases. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Mio Hanafusa was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Pearce was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .367 or higher in eight consecutive games.
Tyler Legacy typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Rockwall-Heath proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Raiders 14-5. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Pearce now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Rockwall-Heath, their record is now 15-12.
Pearce's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's matchup. The Mustangs have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Rockwall-Heath, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Pearce continue to outrun the ball?
