The Glen Allen Jaguars put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 63-53 victory over Midlothian. Given Glen Allen's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while Midlothian is ranked 235th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Glen Allen found their leader in underclassman Faron Friend, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. The contest was Friend's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Chase James, who scored ten points.
Glen Allen's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Midlothian, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glen Allen has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Hermitage at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. Midlothian will take on Huguenot at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Huguenot's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matches.
