The Arvin Bears scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Desert Christian 85-49 on the road. The victory was some much needed relief for Arvin as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arvin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Allen Stone, who scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Leonardo Cano Rizo, who scored 18 points.
Arvin's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Desert Christian, they bumped their record down to 1-18 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arvin won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Mira Monte at 5:00 p.m. on January 19th. As for Desert Christian, they will be playing at home against Palmdale Academy Charter School at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
