Brush was led to victory by Sidney Miller and Michelle Headley. Miller dropped a double-double with 14 points and 16 rebounds, while Headley dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards. Brush is 13-4 when Headley posts ten or more rebounds, but 2-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelynn Middlemist, who posted six points and nine boards.
Brush smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in three consecutive matchups.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Maysn Gregg, who shot 46% from the field to rack up 17 points and six rebounds. The last time Gregg's field goal percentage was this high was back in December of 2024. Brynlee Rizzuto was another key player, putting up nine points along with five assists and three steals.
The win snapped Brush's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 15-9 record. As for Peyton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-12.
Brush has already played their next contest, a 55-20 loss against Colorado Springs Christian on the 8th. Peyton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
