The Lake View Wild Gators won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Saturday. They were the victim of a tough 71-46 loss at the hands of Trinity Collegiate. While losing is never fun, Lake View can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while Trinity Collegiate is ranked 107th).
It was another big night for Landon Wilson, who scored 21 points along with five assists and four steals for Trinity Collegiate. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilson has scored all season. Evan Williams was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Lake View's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Trinity Collegiate, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Lake View will be playing in front of their home fans against Dillon Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dillon Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 191 points over their last three contests. As for Trinity Collegiate, they will face off against Lugoff-Elgin at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Nigel Chivers and Wilson.
