In what's become a running theme this season, the Gaffney Indians gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. Everything went their way against James F. Byrnes as Gaffney made off with a 53-33 victory. The win was nothing new for Gaffney as they're now sitting on five straight.
Gaffney's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lauren Mathis led the charge by scoring ten points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tianah Hopper, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Gaffney is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for James F. Byrnes, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-8.
