Walnut Ridge waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Buffalo Island Central Mustangs. For the Bobcats, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2016.

Walnut Ridge's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was COLLIN ANDREWS, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Walnut Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Buffalo Island Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-9.

Walnut Ridge has already played their next matchup, a 16-1 win against Hoxie on the 21st. As for Buffalo Island Central, they will venture away from home to face off against Harrisburg at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
