Leading Victory Christian Academy to victory were Gabriel Thompson and Josiah Copeland. Thompson scored 19 points, while Copeland scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Copeland has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Todd-Hunter, who scored 12 points.
Luis Vazquez and Max Capote certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Vazquez scored 13 points, while Capote scored 13 points. That was a full 44.8% of Abundant Life Christian Academy's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Victory Christian Academy's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. As for Abundant Life Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Victory Christian Academy will take on Shining Light Baptist Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Shining Light Baptist Academy is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Abundant Life Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Tabernacle Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Tabernacle Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
