A Season-Best Performance from Derek Joyner Leads Hertford County over First Flight
Derek Joyner produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Hertford County to the win on Friday. Joyner rushed for 159 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 38 yards and a touchdown. His longest rush was for an impressive 56 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Hertford County moved to 2-5 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak. They and Camden County will meet on Friday for a tough Bear Battle.

Holmes had to settle for second on Friday, but Naijhir White sure wasn't going down easily. Nobody could stop White as he rushed for 169 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 63 yards.
Holmes now has a losing record at 3-4. White and Holmes will look to defend their home field on Friday against First Flight at 7:00 p.m.

Rimiez Williams Delivers Best Performance of Season
Hertford County was led to victory by Rimiez Williams, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Williams picked up 113 receiving yards and a touchdown. He showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 57 yards.
