The Las Lomas Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Miramonte Matadors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Las Lomas is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Las Lomas was the victim of a tough 34-14 loss at the hands of Acalanes.
Meanwhile, Miramonte suffered a rough 41-21 defeat at the hands of Campolindo on Friday. While losing is never fun, Miramonte can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 285th, while Campolindo is ranked 124th).
Despite the defeat, Miramonte had strong showings from Myles Bastani, who threw for 96 yards and two touchdowns, and Gabe Roman, who picked up 50 receiving yards and a touchdown.
The losses dropped Las Lomas to 8-1 and Miramonte to 6-2.
Las Lomas strolled past Miramonte when the teams last played back in October of 2022 by a score of 38-21. The rematch might be a little tougher for Las Lomas since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
