 Berlyn Brown was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with one  run and one  double.
 Brown wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Sydnee McPhie, who  went 2-for-4 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
Wasatch's record now sits at 5-15. As for Cedar Valley,  the  win snapped their losing streak at three games  and leaves them with a 14-8 record.
 Looking ahead, Wasatch will take on Skyridge at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. The Falcons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.55  runs per game on average), something the Wasps will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Cedar Valley, they will square off against Springville at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Red Devils will roll in looking for their  seventh straight  victory, something the Aviators surely won't give up without a fight.
