The Conway Christian Eagles were the 38-33 winner over the King's Academy Lions when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. Conway Christian took a 50-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of King's Academy on Friday. Conway Christian's loss continues an unfortunate trend for the team, making it three in a row.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Wyatt Polatty, who scored ten points. Dalton Droll was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Conway Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for King's Academy, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Conway Christian will take on Dillon Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for King's Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marlboro Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
