The Harlingen South Hawks had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Southwest Legacy 49-46.
Several Titans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jordan Rodriguez, who scored 12 points along with 6 steals. Giovanni Aranda was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 7 rebounds.
The victory got Harlingen South back to even at 4-4. As for Southwest Legacy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.
Harlingen South will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Jay at 12:00 p.m. on December 1st. Jay knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Harlingen South likes a good challenge. As for Southwest Legacy, they will square off against Pflugerville Connally at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
