Parkview Baptist is a perfect 3-0 against University Lab since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Eagles will take on the Cubs at 4:00 p.m. Parkview Baptist's pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so University Lab's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Parkview Baptist took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against St. Charles Catholic, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles never let the Comets get on the board and left with a 2-0 win on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.
Not much got past Jalayah Slaughter, who gave up just a hit and racked up 15 Ks to keep St. Charles Catholic off the board. Slaughter has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Emmarie Lacy, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, University Lab got the win against Port Allen on Thursday by a conclusive 18-3. The result was nothing new for the Cubs, who have now won ten games by seven runs or more so far this season.
University Lab got a massive performance out of Charlotte Lowe, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI Lowe has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Hallie Shearer, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.
University Lab was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .550. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Port Allen only posted a batting average of .364.
Parkview Baptist's record now sits at 17-2. As for University Lab, their record is now 12-2.
Parkview Baptist got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March of 2025 against University Lab by a conclusive 18-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
