The Clay Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They suffered a tough 57-33 loss at the hands of Glenwood. That's two games in a row now that Clay has lost by exactly 24 points.
Emma Emnett and Sophia Craft certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Emnett scored ten points along with five rebounds and three blocks, while Craft dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. That was a full 39.4% of Clay's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Clay's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Glenwood, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Notre Dame the next time they take the court. Clay will host Notre Dame at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while Glenwood will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
