Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way stacked a 17th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They blew past Paragon Academy 90-49 on the road. Winning may never get old, but Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way sure is getting used to it with their 16th in a row.
Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was TJ Clark, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Clark pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Camren Houser, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds.
Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Paragon Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way will head out on the road to face off against ASU Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. ASU Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way is ranked sixth). As for Paragon Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against East Valley Athletes for Christ at 7:00 p.m.
