Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Downey Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Patrick Olajuwon, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 15 rebounds. Olajuwon hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 16 straight games. Maylon Marte was another key contributor, scoring 27 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Bilingual Christian Academy & Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 22-5. As for Downey Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
