Baseball Recap: Regent Prep Has No Trouble Against Summit Christian Academy

Regent Prep barely beat Summit Christian Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Regent Prep were the clear victor by a 10-1 margin over the Summit Christian Academy Eagles on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what Regent Prep needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Parker Pohl spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Cai Brookover was a standout: he scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of John Mark Roller, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-4.

Regent Prep hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in three consecutive games.

Regent Prep's record is now 4-2. As for Summit Christian Academy, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-4.
