After flying high against Lone Peak last Saturday, South Summit came back down to earth. The South Summit Wildcats came up short against the Grantsville Cowboys on Wednesday, falling 15-8. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Brinley Stapleton made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one double and one RBI. Malia Olson was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

South Summit's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Grantsville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as South Summit Wildcats face off against Union Cougars at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grantsville, they will challenge Box Elder at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
