It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bishop Kenny had no problem doing just that on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 43-19 margin over the Wakulla War Eagles. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by 21 points or more this season.

Bishop Kenny had a senior duo take command as James Davis III gained 113 total yards and Gavin Hawkins threw for 169 yards and one TD on only 14 passes.

Bishop Kenny was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 245 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wakulla only rushed for 90.

Owen Klees and Lacari Murray certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Klees threw for 281 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Murray picked up 125 receiving yards and two scores.

Bishop Kenny pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points over those games. As for Wakulla, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.

Bishop Kenny will look to defend their home field on Friday against Godby at 7:00 p.m. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 960 yards in their previous games. Wakulla does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
