Canton is 1-9 against Mansfield since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hornets at 3:45 p.m. Canton will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Canton is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Stoughton with a sharp 13-4 win on Monday. Considering the Bulldogs have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

At the plate, Andrew Gillis was a standout: he went 2-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of JT Norton, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs and two stolen bases.
Canton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Mansfield beat Foxborough 7-2 on Monday. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Luke Rogan made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has become a key player for Mansfield: the team is 5-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 6-8 otherwise. Rogan was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two RBI.
In other batting news, Darrian Sanders was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Brendan Vokey was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Canton's win bumped their record up to 11-7-1. As for Mansfield, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Canton has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Mansfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Canton couldn't quite finish off Mansfield in their previous matchup two weeks ago and fell 3-1. Will the Bulldogs have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
