This season hasn't been kind to the Northeast Early College Raiders, who are still winless after their tenth contest. They were beaten by McCallum 68-11 on Friday. Northeast Early College has struggled against McCallum recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
McCallum was led to victory by Sam Cowles and Emy Chen. Cowles scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and three steals, while Chen scored 19 points along with four steals. Chen is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Miranda DiGiovanni was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six steals.
Northeast Early College's loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-10. As for McCallum, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-9.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing LBJ Austin the next time they take the court. McCallum will head out to face LBJ Austin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Northeast Early College will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
