On Friday, Prentiss Christian was beaten by Sylva Bay Academy 70-28. Prentiss Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-8.
Meanwhile, Woodlawn Prep can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent contest last Friday. They claimed a resounding 72-35 victory over Tallulah Academy at home. 72 seems to be a good number for Woodlawn Prep as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Woodlawn Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cole Sinclair, who scored 16 points. Sinclair hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylon Reed, who scored 17 points.
Prentiss Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 0-4. As for Woodlawn Prep, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5.
Prentiss Christian lost to Woodlawn Prep on the road by a decisive 45-31 margin in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Prentiss Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
