Pickens County is 4-0 against Addison since August of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Pickens County Tornadoes will head out on the road to face off against the Addison Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Pickens County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three last Thursday. They strolled past Marion County with points to spare, taking the game 34-15.
Kemaurion Plott had a dynamite game for Pickens County, rushing for 88 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, while also throwing for 89 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Hill, who gained 91 total yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Addison stacked a sixth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 44-6 win over Shoals Christian. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Addison just coasted through the last quarter.
Their wins bumped Pickens County to 7-3 and Addison to 8-2.
Pickens County strolled past Addison in their previous meeting back in November of 2016 by a score of 23-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pickens County since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
