Brookstone's Aaric Austin recorded the longest rushing play in A Region 4 this season in his game against Mount Paran Christian last week. Austin ran for 53 yards on the play and finished with 97 on the day as his team lost to the Eagles.
Hawkinsville scaled the state rankings by moving to 272 from 310 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Red Devils climbed the ranks as a result of besting Dodge County 21-7.
Miller Page was a passing and rushing force as Brookstone fell to Mount Paran Christian. He completed 10 passes for 133 yards and also ran for 1 yards. Page's key target this week was Kordell Braxton, who caught 4 passes for 81 yards.
Austin was the best running back in the league this week.
Braxton was the best receiver in A Region 4 this week as Brad Dehem's team fell to Craig Wilson's team. Grant Davidson helped Brookstone's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 21 yards.
Justin Eckert put up the best numbers in passing as Marion County topped Kendrick. He finished with 4 completions for 72 yards and 2 touchdowns. Eckert's favorite target this week was Trae Swanson, who caught 2 passes for 51 yards.
Roderick Bishop was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Eagles bested the Cherokees. He racked up 2.0 sacks.
The Cougars' Page and Braxton have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Page has thrown for 312 yards this season, while Braxton has 5 catches for 112 yards. Johnny Royal from Marion County leads the league in rushing with 289 yards.
Central lost to Taylor County 39-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
