Even though the Wilcox Chargers scored an imposing 60 points on Thursday, the Mountain View Spartans still came out on top. Mountain View sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 62-60 win over Wilcox. The win made it back-to-back wins for Mountain View.
Mountain View's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jayden Minor led the charge by scoring 21 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Minor hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Jaden Feller, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Mountain View is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Wilcox, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-11.
Mountain View will head out on the road to face off against Los Altos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Los Altos is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for Wilcox, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Los Gatos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Los Gatos is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
