Old Fort entered their tilt with Danbury on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with  a   5-1  win over the Lakers. The Stockaders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lakers, too.
 Ryan Adelsperger made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only two  hits over seven innings pitched. Adelsperger was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news, Old Fort let  Derek Skeel and  Elijah Garza run wild. Skeel  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances, while  Garza  went 2-for-4 with two  doubles, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. Those  RBI were  Garza's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Andrew tackett, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
Old Fort pushed their record up to 3-1 with the  victory, which was their third straight  on the road. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Danbury,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 2-2.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Old Fort will welcome Toledo Christian  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.5  runs per game on average), something the Stockaders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Danbury, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lakota  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
