The May River Sharks came tearing into Tuesday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Colleton County by a score of 37-26. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points May River has scored all year.
May River's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brooke Dalton, who scored 16 points along with six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashleigh Williams, who scored seven points.
May River's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. As for Colleton County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

Hilton Head Island is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak. As for Colleton County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bluffton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bluffton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Colleton County likes a good challenge.
