The Campbell Sabers will head out on the road to  square off against  the Pearl City Chargers  at 3:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Both come into the  matchup bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Campbell is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another  one of Hawaii's top teams: Waipahu, who was ranked 22nd  at the time (Campbell was ranked 19th). Campbell put the hurt on Waipahu with a sharp  12-1 victory on Saturday. Considering the Sabers' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
  Jayden Pacariem and  Kalaeloa Kalua did most of the damage at the plate:  Pacariem  scored a  run while going 4-for-4, while  Kalua  scored four  runs while going 1-for-4.  Jonah Yacap was another key player,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-5.
Meanwhile, Pearl City was able to grind out a solid  win over 'Aiea on Saturday, taking the game  6-3. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Chargers.
 Noah Bernal was a major factor no matter where he played. He  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. What's more,  he posted five  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in April of 2024. He was even better at the plate,  firing off two  home runs and four  RBI while going 2-for-4. He is becoming a predictor of Pearl City's success: when he posts  at  least three  RBI the team is undefeated (and 2-4-2 when he doesn't).
 In other pitching news,  Ian Wicklund looked comfortable as he  tossed four innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   three  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances.
 Pearl City now  has a winning record of 5-4-2. As for Campbell,  the  victory snapped their losing streak at three games  and leaves them with a 4-5 record.
 Campbell was able to grind out a solid  win over Pearl City in their previous meeting  on March 8th, winning  6-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Campbell since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
