On Friday, Lyman was able to grind out a solid win over Titusville, taking the game 51-39.
Max Mattingly continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 16 rebounds. The game was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Freddy Meier, who scored six points.
Lyman's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Titusville, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.
Lyman and Seminole will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Seminole has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 843 points over their last 12 matches. Titusville will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Space Coast at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th. Space Coast will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 597th, while Titusville is ranked 270th).
