The Hawken Hawks will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Holy Name Green Wave at 1:00 p.m.
On Wednesday, Hawken came up short against the Lions and fell 39-31.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Julia Scales, who scored five points along with 19 rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Sophia Cicerini, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Holy Name had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy 60-45 victory over Barberton on Wednesday.
Hawken has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for Holy Name, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-9.
Hawken was able to grind out a solid victory over the Green Wave in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 51-42. Does Hawken have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Green Wave turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
