Even though the King's Ridge Christian Tigers scored an imposing 66 points on Friday, the St. Francis Knights still came out on top. St. Francis walked away with a 73-66 win over the Tigers. This was payback for St. Francis, who suffered a 48-47 defeat the last time these two teams met.
St. Francis' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reynolds Escher, who dropped a triple-double on 19 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Triston McDonald, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
St. Francis pushed their record up to 11-9 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.5 points per game. As for King's Ridge Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-7.
St. Francis won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Panthers at 3:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Langston Hughes is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games. King's Ridge Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
