Baseball Recap: Sullivan Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

While Sullivan's victory against Tuscola wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Redskins' pitchers stepped up to hand the Warriors a 1-0 shutout on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Redskins in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won five in a row.

Sullivan's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Cameron Crowe, who went 1-for-4 with one RBI. Zaden Hussong also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Sullivan's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-12. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.2 runs. The Purple Riders will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Redskins surely won't give up without a fight. As for Tuscola, they will challenge Warrensburg-Latham at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cardinals' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
