The Chancellor Chargers can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent match on Thursday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 64-23 win over Caroline. 64 seems to be a good number for Chancellor as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Chancellor got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lydia Brockelbank out in front who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Brockelbank is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kendall Scott, who scored 16 points along with six steals.
Chancellor pushed their record up to 12-2 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Caroline, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chancellor will take on Culpeper County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Culpeper County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 228th, while Chancellor is ranked 80th). As for Caroline, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Courtland at 6:30 p.m. on January 22nd. Courtland has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 6.
