Bishop Kelly is 7-1 against Nampa since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Knights will take on the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Bishop Kelly is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.5 runs per game this season.
Bishop Kelly is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Middleton, who was ranked third at the time (Bishop Kelly was ranked 15th). The Knights came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 6-1 on Wednesday.

Lauren Fettic spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Gracie Cammann, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Julia Baerlocher was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Nampa had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Hawks. The game was the first time the Bulldogs have beaten the Hawks on their field since March 12, 2021.
Haylee Holloway was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits (and only one walk). Holloway was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Payten Hutsell was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Avery Graham, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Nampa's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Bishop Kelly, their record now sits at 11-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Bishop Kelly hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Nampa struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Bishop Kelly took their victory against Nampa in their previous meeting back in May of 2022 by a conclusive 26-3 score. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
