5A Region I District 4 recap October 1, 2013
Fans got a thrill when Brandon Maine and Hayden Davidson connected against Fossil Ridge. The connection was good for 60 yards, the longest such play in 5A Region I District 4 this season.
Haltom scaled the state rankings by moving to 278 from 405 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Buffalos climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Timber Creek 30-10.
Ryan Agnew threw for 224 yards and 2 touchdowns. He went 18-21 with 0 interception.
Agnew put up the best numbers through the air as Carroll beat Keller Central. Agnew's favorite target this week was Keaton Duhon, who caught 6 passes for 67 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Northwest takes on the Panthers. At the moment, the Texans are in first, while Fossil Ridge is in fourth.
Adding to the longest winning streak in 5A Region I District 4 this week, Northwest beat Keller 31-17. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
