There's no place like home for the Eastern Christian HomeSchool Trailblazers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They put the hurt on Albemarle School with a sharp 71-46 victory on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Eastern Christian HomeSchool also won the last time the pair played last Friday.
Despite the defeat, Albemarle School saw an underclassman step up: Brayden Lowry scored 15 points. That's the first time this season that Lowry scored 15 or more points. Javonte Borg was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Eastern Christian HomeSchool pushed their record up to 9-9 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Albemarle School, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-15.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eastern Christian HomeSchool won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Greenville Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. Hopefully Greenville Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Thursday. As for Albemarle School, they will head out on the road to face off against Lawrence Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
