Mason is a perfect 3-0 against East Lansing since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bulldogs will take on the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. Mason is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games.
Last Thursday, Mason was able to grind out a solid victory over Holt, taking the game 5-1.
Maddox Armour spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Joey Schild was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton McCaleb, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Mason hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, East Lansing had just enough and edged out St. Johns 6-4 on Tuesday.
Ben Fletcher made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. He has become a key player for East Lansing: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-14 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gus Greenwalt, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double was his first of the season.
Mason's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for East Lansing, their record now sits at 7-14.
Mason came out on top in a nail-biter against East Lansing when the teams last played back in April of 2018, sneaking past 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
