Meanwhile, Nash Central strolled past Roanoke Rapids with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 51-37.
Nash Central found their leader in sophomore Marquasia Warren, who went 8 for 19 en route to 26 points along with seven boards and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Warren has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jayden Baggett, who posted 13 points.
Nash Central is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points per game. As for Rocky Mount, their win bumped their record up to 12-1.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Rocky Mount has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 30.3 boards per game. However, it's not like Nash Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging 37.8 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
