Lead-Deadwood have been homebodies their last two matches, but they are heading out on Friday. Their bye week comes to an end as they meet up with Custer at 6:00 PM . Custer will need to watch out since Lead-Deadwood have now posted big point totals in their last five contests.
Lead-Deadwood put the finishing touches on their 5th blowout victory of the season two weeks ago. Everything came up roses for them against McLaughlin as the team secured a 50-0 victory. Junior Jordy Stulken, who rushed for 107 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in Lead-Deadwood's success. Stulken has now scored at least one touchdown in the past five games.
Meanwhile, Custer might have drawn first blood against Red Cloud last Friday, but it was Red Cloud who got the last laugh. Custer took a 35-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Red Cloud.
Lead-Deadwood's win lifted them to 6-1 while Custer's defeat dropped them down to 4-3. Given their high-scoring efforts against their previous opponents, it will be interesting to see how far up these teams can run up the score.
