Tolsia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 14-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Teays Valley Christian Lions. Even though they lost, the Rebels' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.4 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Trevor Copley and Brody Christenson stepped up to the plate in a big way. Copley scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1, while Christenson went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. Bray Mollette also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.
Tolsia's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Teays Valley Christian, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tolsia will head out to square off against Scott at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Teays Valley Christian, they will venture away from home to challenge Hannan at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
